Exporting Layouts to Dwg/Dxf in CADKEY
Recommended for CADKEY users and users of the new Cadkey Wireframe Silver Edition version of the software. We review how to condition a layout in Cadkey so that it can be exported in dxf or dwg format. We also discuss when it is necessary to flatten layouts prior to exporting to avoid probelms with three-dimensional entities embedded in the layout and the proper way to use the Layout Copy Function to control drawing releases.

Hybrid Modeling- Unstitching, Trimming, and Stitching Surfaces in KeyCreator
Recommended for users who are just starting to work with surface-solid hybrid modeling. We explore the basic difference between a collection of surfaces and a solid object. After unstitching a solid into component surfaces, we delete one of the surfaces, create new trimming geometry to modify one of the remaining surfaces, and then create a new surface that will replace the deleted one. We then stitch the surfaces back together to once again create a solid model. Along the way we answer many of the basic questions that users have when they first venture into surface modeling.
